2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Dreamzy:

• Account information: Your email address and password (used to sign in and manage your account).
• Child profile information: Your child's first name, age, and interests — provided by you, the parent or guardian, to personalize stories. We do not collect information directly from children.
• Story data: Stories generated, themes selected, illustration styles, and goals chosen. This is used to personalize recommendations and AI Insights.
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and session information — used to improve the product.
• Payment information: Handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store credit card numbers.

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Dreamzy is designed for parents and guardians to use on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

• Child profile data (name, age, interests) is entered by the parent or guardian.
• Children do not create accounts or interact directly with our service.
• If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child without parental consent, please contact us at support@dreamzy.xyz and we will delete it promptly.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To generate personalized stories for your child.
• To save stories to your library and track reading history.
• To provide AI Insights and story recommendations.
• To manage your subscription and process payments.
• To send account-related emails (receipts, trial reminders). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
• To improve Dreamzy's AI models and features in aggregate, anonymized form.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider.
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — to generate story text. Story prompts include your child's name and interests.
• Google (Gemini) — to generate story illustrations.
• ElevenLabs — to generate story narration audio.
• Lemon Squeezy — to process subscription payments.
• Vercel — to host and serve the application.

All third-party providers are bound by their own privacy policies and applicable data protection laws.

6. Data Retention

• Free plan stories are retained for 24 hours, then automatically deleted.
• Paid plan stories are retained for as long as your account is active.
• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@dreamzy.xyz.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data and your child's profile data.
• Export your story library.
• Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

8. Cookies

Dreamzy uses only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Supabase, and access controls on all data storage. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure — if you have concerns, contact us at support@dreamzy.xyz.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the app. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
